About Us

The publishers of MESS magazine are bike messengers, plain and simple. We have over 30 years of collective experience on the street, and have a hell of a lot to say about it. We?ve worked in New York, DC, Portland, Houston, Minneapolis? all over the United States, and we know that there hasn?t been a decent publication directed at us and our peers in many a year. If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. Welcome to MESS.

MESS is the product of years spent riding on city streets. This is our way of combining that experience with our attempts at college educations. This is our way of giving back to a community that has meant so much to us these past years. Among the pages of MESS, you will find no ads for sneakers or cars or energy drinks. You will, however, find links to businesses and projects operated by people like you, and like us. We support locally owned bike shops, and messenger-run bag makers. We support Bicycle Messenger Associations and Bicycle Advocacy Groups. We support life on two wheels.

Contained in this website is material that some readers may find objectionable or confrontational. There is rampant vulgarity, and tales of intoxicated debauchery and violence. There is a lot of trash talk. But we feel it does a disservice to our readers to represent ourselves any way but that. This is who we are.

Thanks for visiting MESS. Enjoy.
